What is Memory Foam ?
Memory foam is a type of polyurethane foam that’s been treated to increase its viscosity and density, giving it its famous “slow spring back” effect. When you press into memory foam, it softens in response to your body heat and pressure, then slowly returns to its original shape once the pressure is removed.
It was originally developed by NASA in the 1960s to improve aircraft seat cushioning and crash protection. Since then, it’s become widely used in mattresses, pillows, mattress toppers, and even medical products like wheelchair cushions and hospital beds.
